Best tape out there – worth the price!

I am a runner, and have been taping my torn achilles tendon for close to a year. I have used KT tape, Kineseo Tape and now Rocktape. I resisted buying it at $20 a roll, but it is SO much better than the others. Because I wear each “taping” for 4 days at a time, the fact that Rocktape is MUCH more sticky and stretchy makes a huge difference! The other brands tend to roll and split pretty easily….especially the KT tape. The rocktape stayed on my leg and ‘held’ (with more support and compression) for 5 days….and then I just took it off; all the other brands would have come off by themselves.

Try it – you’ll love it…especially if you’re a chronic tape user.

The best Kinesio Tape I have used!

I have low back/tailbone (since 1997) and was recently diagnosed with Degenerative Disk Disease in that area and Rheumatoid Arthritis in my hands, fingers and one elbow. I have tried several brands of Kinesio tape over the years and Rocktape is the best I have ever used! While the other brands I tried would come off when I started to sweat, Rocktape stays on through sweating, showering and swimming. I recently finished repairing the siding and trim boards, and painting my house. This involved a lot of ladder climbing. Of course all that climbing aggravated my knee (I had surgery on it 15 years ago) and the way you have to stand on the ladder to paint was not helping my back. All the repetitive movements aggravated my RA elbow to the point of bursitis. I used the Rocktape on my elbow, knee, and back for the whole six months I was working. It stayed on in 100 degree heat with 80 percent humidity, while cooling off in my swimming pool, while showering, and while sleeping. And I don’t mean for a day or two either. Rocktape stayed on for five to seven days! I will never be with out Rocktape.

Change of Heart

Okay so I buy some Rock Tape from a local Chiropractor and it does not work worth a damn so I e-mail company and tell them that while the tape did not work the idea was great. I explained to them that I was not looking for any freebees or a t-shirt or anything else…I just wanted to give them feed back so they could improve the product. To my surprise they e-mailed me right back (within minutes) and then sent me a replacement roll. To my surprise the replacement roll worked well. Better than expected actually. The original roll must have been old or got too hot or too cold or something because it was not as sticky as the replacement roll. At any rate, the new stuff worked really really well.

So to sum up, I give this product 5 stars for working well and I give the company an A+ on customer service and ease of use. They have earned themselves a loyal customer. I will now recommend Rock Tape to all my athlete friends.

Works with a certain type on back

Generally, the McKenzie method works well with stiff spines that have lost the natural lordosis(lower back curvature) required to minimise pressure on the intervertebral discs. For hypermobile lumbar spines, these exercises may make symptoms worse and stabilsation exercises are more appropriate. A good physiotherapist will assess which category you fit into. The book serves as one of the best educational resources around, and anyone who has “bad posture” after reading it may have misread or misunderstood the text.

It works, and that’s the truth.

My problems started in March. I had a sharp pain that lasted for two weeks and then a general ache that lasted several weeks. After two chiropractors, I went to a Sports Therapy Clinic, and they help resolve the initial problem using cold/heat, ultra-sound, TENS. By mid May I felt fine, and was back lifting weights, as I am a body builder.

In September the ache returned, and I went back to the clinic. After several weeks of traditional therapy, the Orthpedic doctor prescribed massage therapy. The nurse practitioner immediately noticed I had a posture problem, but after a couple of weeks of therapy, I still had an ache.

I stopped the therapy, and began reading several books on the problem. I purchased this book as a last chance, before exploring the possibility I needed surgery. I got the book on a Wednesday, and began doing the exercises over the following weekend.

Now I had been doing all sorts of exercises for several months to no effect. This book proposed extension as compared to flexation exercises. I write this on a Monday. While I can’t say I’m healed, I am significantly better.

If you have lost hope, that you can get better, read this book before having surgery. I now believe that I may not need surgery at all, and may be able to resume my life.

REPLACED MY ORTHOPEDIST, PHYSICAL THERAPIST & CHIROPRACTOR

A few years ago I suffered a minor accident that resulted in progressive and long term back and hip pain. The orthopedic surgeon diagnosed severe sciatica. He put me on prescription pain meds, muscle relaxants and lots of bed rest. Actually, bed rest was about all I could handle as all of the prescription meds kept me in a constant mental haze (but did little to relieve pain). The doctor also referred me to a physical therapist 4 times a week (who has time for this – each session lasted hours). After 4 months of this with not much improvement I’d had enough. I stopped taking the prescription meds, switched to OTCs and began chiropractic treatments. A year and two chiropractors later the improvement was small but pain was manageable. Unfortunately the last session with the chiro left me feeling worse than when I began the treatments. Then I found Robin McKenzie’s book. I could not believe the improvement I experienced after just two days of following his emergency exercises. After several weeks I had complete recovery. I have given this book to friends and relatives with back or neck problems and they have all found relief from pain and have gained full mobility. The funny thing is that the positions and movements that Mr. McKenzie prescribes are exactly what the chiropractors and surgeon told me not to do!
Go figure!

Excellent pill box

This pill box, with four sections, is ideal for taking multiple medicines with you. The company was so gracious as to call me because they did not have the color pill box on the picture to be sure it was OK to send another color rather than wait until the color pictured was back in stock. I take this pill box with me everywhere I go with some of my most important medicines.

Best Legs Ever

Cute, but frayed when washed…

I got these little bloomers for my daughter’s first birthday pictures and decided to wash them beforehand because they were pretty wrinkly. I followed the directions and only dried them for a little bit in the dryer, but the tulle on the cupcake came off in one section. I was able to tuck it back in for the pictures, but still…I would recommend washing and hanging to dry.

$$ But Can Be Used Multiple Times

The key with these is not to throw them out when using them unless they become soiled. If you are out and about, changing your child’s diaper and no mishaps happen in the process these can be folded up and used again. Only the plastic back touches outer surfaces… the patterned part is what touches your baby.

I love these! You can definitely get your money’s worth provided you do not throw them away every time you use them. They are sturdy enough to use again and again. Only throw them away when they get soiled!!

I love these. They’re just plastic-backed paper towels, but I keep a couple in the diaper bag to put on changing pads so I can throw this away rather than potentially getting the changing pad messy. I cut them in half and keep a half-size piece on the changing table at home at all times, in case I make a mess cleaning up my little girl’s messy diapers, or in case she spits up while I’m changing her. Much easier to throw away the Munchkin pad than pulling off and replacing the changing pad cover each time. The Munchkin pad gets wrinkled, but unless it gets wet it often last for a couple weeks or longer. And I keep her crib double-sheeted with two of these next to each other in the middle. When she was younger and wet through her sheet in the middle of the night, I could pull the top fitted sheet and throw away the wet Munchkin pad, and a clean fitted sheet would already be in place underneath. I’d spent a small fortune on various mattress protectors before my little girl was born, and they’re all sitting in a drawer because keeping a couple Munchin pads under the sheet was by far the easiest solution for middle-of-the-night quick-changes.

My wife and I had been searching for a few months for an item like this. We found others that where much more expensive ($15+ for 5 pads!) but this one was right on the mark. If you are looking for a way to keep your baby safe on those nasty changing tables when you are out and about, look no further! These pads hold up when being used, and are small enough to fit easily into our diaper bag.
